Let them make PORN- I hate 2257

Hello. Im the government, and Im going to assume the a prioi stance that anyone, if given the slightest opportunity to produce child pornography will, by virtue of nothing other than the interest or habit of producing sexually arousing images, performances or writings and has the clearly misguided motivation to share, distribute or otherwise publish these materials….oh oh oh and dont forget that failure to comply with 18 USC 2257 could result in up to 5 years in jail, civil fines, or a combination of civil and criminal penalties.
I first started hating on 2257 when it was the catalyst for several really awesome sites (like Midori’s Beauty Bound) to shut down. I thought to myself, come on, she is not even close to making kiddie porn, this is a clear misuse of the law. Then I realized that the even bigger problem of this and other laws like it is that it is preventative legislation, which in and of itself is kinda unconstitutional. If you have a website that does in fact have material on it that would be regulated by 2257 (“Sexually explicit material (video, photography, creative writing) presents sexual content without deliberately obscuring or censoring it…. It includes unsimulated sex acts, sexual intercourse and uncovered genitalia-AND NOW simulated sexual activity” as well) but you also have material that is not regulated by 2257, like say a picture of you and your friend at a picnic on the beach…you could potentially be in legal peril if you dont maintain the proper documentation for that friend, or lets say there is some random kid playing frisbee in the background-u=fucked.
Oh and then there is the thing about how you need a United States valid govt issued ID, so if your friend naked/sexed up or no is from, say, Australia, then just forget it…this and other reasons why you wont be able to see anyone from DV8 House Australia on the ShibariCon website or promotional materials despite the fact that they are hot, talented and present there every year. BOGUS.
So then there is the fucking annoying thing that you have to publicly maintain the address where the documents are kept and the name of the custodian who is responsible for them for 7 years. Anyone who has done *ANY* work in the sex industry is familiar with the spectrum of enthusiasm in fans from “really into it” to “obsessive” to Stalker….oh yeah STALKERS, right? forgot about that? Maybe I dont WANT to have my home address, legal name and location available for all to see and use just so the feddies can be sure that somewhere in there some 13 year old isnt secretly being tied up and tortured for 19.95 a month (aside: remember the logic about why your pot isnt laced with heroin with no one telling you? Bc the heroin is WORTH MORE and no one is going to give away commodity product for FREE). Can’t we register and file with the government instead and leave the fucking tracer tracker bullshit to them?
It just seems to me that the government is a little too clever with ways to make it obnoxiously difficult for me to show a picture of my cunt to the world. This is a good part of the reason why I do not have images of other people tying me or my tying other people on this site. I do have the records for all of these images, I do functionally comply with 22fucking57, but do I need or want to do the rest of it? No, and as it is Im sure Im already in violation of something, somewhere
Oh and did I mention that Hollywood has its own operating subcategories and exemptions? Yup. Did they bother to fight the good fight or all of us at the same time? Nope. They dont have jailtime, and guess what they sure as hell do simulated underage sex scenes….with actually underage actors.
TO be fair, the US is by no means the worst among the countries with stringent pornography laws, but these here are in clear violation of constitution and BoR, the spirit and our sex life.
Can we lobby for a “freedom of sex” amendment to the constitution? Oh wait, no, half of the population isnt even legally allowed to have sex in private, let alone marry yet…..
