Sexual Surrogacy- A license to hook

sexsurrogateI was having a conversation with a close friend of mine over new years where she brought up this idea of Sexual Surrogacy.  It wasnt something I had ever really thought of before, although it seemed like the perfect answer to the questions about how to do many of the things I want/try to do all at once.

Sex surrogates, typically certified it seems, work with therapists and sometimes alone by referral with clients who have serious sexual dysfunction, are diabled in a way that has serious sexual complications, and also at times as a form of sex therapy for couples.  The first and last one appeal to me the most (especially if you consider my last post- I am clearly already doing this service without the spiffy title).

More concrete information on how to become a Sexual Surrogate seems to be hard to come by.  I like the fact that it is a legal form of prostitution, that involves a direct therapeutic aim that is aknowledged and has some interesting training.  All of those are pluses.

http://www.surrogatetherapy.org/SurrogateTherapy.html offers a training course for a whopping 1,500 bucks, but it doesnt seem that bad when you take into account referrals and certification.  Hell, the Dillogun/Vodou training I wanted was twice that.

The more I think about it the more I really think that this is a good avenue for me, and Im practically operating that way in my personal sexual relationships anyway.  Id like to have arrangements such as these where the motives were understood to be sexual but there was a respect and a desire to improve the self that doesnt get tripped up in other social scripting and expectations.  that is always the appeal to me about sex work.  After recent successes with the porn industry and a taste for more, I believe that I really gain much more peace the more sex work I do, and my soul will be happy if there is a therapy/helping people aspect added in, since money is never much of an incentive to me.

Should I get a license to hook?
