This is definitely what I would in a magickal setting refer to as an Incubus.  However, when I refer to Incubi/Succubi personally, I do not mean that I think a physical being, or literal manifestation of a spirit/demon entered my room while I slept and entered my body through my vagina.

The Faces of Addiction…pornstyle?

So I have a friend who is currently in the process of detoxing…again…the way you do.  And I am trying to convince this friend to come stay with me in Baltimore, and part of this process is to find a good clinic etc to aid in that process. So I did a little googling, and poking around to see what Baltimore had to offer- I was especially curious due to the tail end of the BELIEVE saga to see if they ever got their ‘cleaner baltimore’ shtick sorted out.

Revising the DSM V

“Consensual adult activities …that may involve some aspects of sexual role-play, novel, superficial or trivial aspects of sexual fetishism….. are not automatically or by default, inherently psychopathological or paraphilial in nature… and quite conversely, can serve to pique, or excite, the arousal phase of the human sexual response cycle in manners that can enhance fertility and procreation.” This is the wording of the DSM-IV TR, the test revised publication for the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. It is a hopeful step in the right direction for the goal of removing alternative sexual practices such as fetishes, the paraphilias, from the list of disorders.

Rigging Training-and Science!

Well you are half right, except that usually this space is occupied by running screaming children trying to get their learn on….or something.

Its the Maryland Science Center, where I spend my Mondays working on a new exhibit the Life of the Cell, due out next Spring.  I am working with micro-controllers (www.arduino.cc) programming dynamic and interactive installations involving sensors like motion, touch scent etc……..

And one day, I saw the above contraption, and I was like: OMGz….its rope bondage!
